Basics Course

This class will help ensure the beginning of a long and happy life together. Basic commands are stressed. Another important thing to remember is: What you put in is what you get out. If you put in the time and effort, you will get results.

Classes consists of one hour per week for 6 weeks and are designed for puppies 8-24 weeks of age.

Topics covered are:

Bite inhibition
Come when called
Name response
Handling at veterinarian or groomer (nail trimming, ear and teeth cleaning)
House training
Jumping up
Sit, down, stay, off
Controlled walking
Socialization with other people and dogs
Other questions that arise during puppyhood

Down command

To attend class, you will need:

Current vaccinations, including Bordatella
Buckle collar or gentle leader and leash (no training/choke collars)
Three kinds of treats that can be broken into small bites
