I lost my sweet Bailey on Wednesday  {August 6, 2003}
I had rescued her from sure death.  She was left for dead tied up in the middle of a cow pasture.
Bailing wire wrapped around her neck for a collar.
She was with me for 5 years.
She had surgery to remove a non cancerous tumor on Thursday.
For what ever reason, God wanted her more than I needed her, and she left us on Wednesday.
here is a pic of my girl
tears...I will miss her greatly

. . .if tears could build a bridge, I would walk right up to heaven and bring you home again . . .
RUSTY Caracter, born in 1989 and passed away November 24, 2003, two days after my birthday.  The Beloved pet of Jan and Blaine Caracter.
They will not go quietly, the pets who've shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know their spirit still remains.
Old habits still can make us think we hear them at the door, or step back when we drop a tasty morsel on the floor.

Our feet still go around the place, the food dish used to be. Sometimes coming home at night, we miss them terribly.

Although time may bring new friends,
and a new food dish to fill.
That one place in our hearts belong to them..
and always will.
Paw Print
I Loving Memory of Rusty Caracter

One bright sunny day you walked into our hearts
It was love and devotion from the very start
Chocolate brown hair and pink nose
The most perfect companion my son could have chosen
I cannot explain the pain of the loss we feel
But you were too sick for earthly doctors to heal
It wrenched my soul to have to let you go
I kissed your head and stroked your paw
Tonight I hold the cast of your paw print in my hand
And think of you frolicking in a far better land

Pepper was an incredible little dog and known as "Pepper The Wonder Dog"...the only "singing" dog in S. Central Virginia.  I have a tape of her "singing" on B-99, one of our local radio stations.  When it was played she would "sing" a duet with herself and went on to "sing" so many songs we lost count of the number.

Small spirits cannot tarry long
Upon this sometimes saddened Earth
Yet time and stature cannot define
How much their visits are worth.
From the strength and loving comfort
Shining through their understanding eyes
Those gifts say we must remember
That the spirit never dies
A happy bark, long loving licks
Guardian through sad lonely nights
Her small spirit found a way
To turn your darkness to peaceful light
She was your friend and so much more
So much love in such small space
She did her just and faithful job
And now has Eternal Blissful Grace
