Pursing paradise ..A rustic rendezvous was found!
We just returned from a relaxing get away at Beaverwood Farms, which is located in beautiful Swan Lake, New York, located in the Sullivan County Catskills, only 1.8 hours from the George Washington Bridge.

Upon our arrival we were warmly greeted by the owners, Paul and Marilyn, who made us, feel right at home. We were given a tour of the property, which is a 10 acre working farm. The amazing part of this farm is the ability for all the animals on it to live harmoniously. There are horses, cow, sheep, chickens, roosters, turkeys, goats and more roaming around the property loose, uninhibited and carefree.

If you are looking for activities on the farm, there is plenty to be involved with.  There is horseback riding, sailing on the lake when it is windy enough, and the experience to try out real farm life and help with farm chores a(ie: hauling hay for the horses, feeding the livestock, and collecting eggs from the hens).

The accommodations consist of  cottages with  a full bathroom with shower, a large living room with windows overlooking the farm, which we found perfect to view the farm animals at play. There is also high-speed wireless internet, cable TV, air conditioning and fully equipped kitchen for cooking. When in season, you are welcome to get vegetables from the organic garden.

Victory  gives Beaverwood Farms, five paws out of five for being the perfect retreat.

Please feel free to call Beaverwood Farms at (845) 295-0194 to make a reservation as they are booking quickly. Make sure you speak to Paul and tell him that Victory Robinson sends regards to her buddies Midnite, Sanka, and Romeo the cow.

Happy Trails everyone.
