IDOC Shakedowns
When prisons have trouble, they call out the Orange Cruch (TAC Team) and the K9 Unit to come in and settle it down.  From dangerous situations to known drug problems, this is what we are there for.
This is a picture from a local paper during the March 2001 Joliet Prison Shakedown.  They had been having major control and contraband issues, so we showed up and helped them gain thier control back. In Dec 1998, we rolled in on the Menard CC after gang related troubles there.  Here is the Orange Crush marching in.
12-1998, Here Joeri has alerted to and found dope in an inmates property box that was moving out of the cell house prior to us shaking him down.
In 12-1998, here we are searching a cell.  Joeri smells everything he possibly can in each cell as there are thousands of hiding places inside of these small two man living quarters.
12-1998, another one of our jobs is inmate security.  Here, inmates were moved into the Chapel for holding until thier cells were searched and any drug testing was conducted.  The inmate hidden behind me refused three orders to comply with rules, so Joeri came up and convinced the inmate to obey the rules.
in 12-1998, here is a TAC Member shaking down a cell after Joeri has searched it.  Even if Joeri finds no drugs, the TAC Members are trained to search out all other types of contraband to include weapons, gang materials, homemade alcohols, and illegally possessed medications.
In 12-1998, Joeri is wore out after a day of searching and secuity work, so during a search of a cell, I turned my back to speak with the photographer and Joeri took the opportunity to lay down on this bed like he does at home.
