| About me.....wow, that entails ALOT. But I guess the main reason for this page is to let anyone out there who suffers from an incurable illness know, we will get through it. -------------------------------------------- I am 38 years old now, I have suffered my entire life with an illness called, "Juvenile Rhuematoid Arthritis". I was not officially diagnosed with this illness until I was 31 years old, however I have suffered through it's pain and deformation my entire life. ------------------------------------------- I am many things, many parts of a whole. I am a Thundering Rainstorm, electric fire and lightning with the intense rage of a thousand storms. But I am also Wahya, the Wolf, and the Tiger. My name is Bearclaw..aka..K9Gear, but my parent's called me.Dakota. --------------------------------------------- I want to let people with illnesses know, You are NOT alone. It feels like a gigantic void has been dropped into your life, but with the love and support of family and friends, and the love and power of God, nothing, and I mean NOTHING is impossible. ------------------------------------------ The pain is unbearable at times, the medicines even worse, but all in all, JRA is my gift. It has taught me that nothing in this life is more precious than our loved ones, and our life. ------------------------------------ I do not hate my illness anymore, I don't even get as angry with it as I once did, I welcome it for what it is. Not all illness is painful, not all will take your life, but if you do not fight with everything inside of you to overcome the effects, then your life is already over. ---------------------------------------------- The most important thing to remember is that you are not alone. There is always someone who cares, and sometimes in our darkest hours, we cannot see those lights right in front of us. I saw them, and accepted them. It was not always this way, and if you wish to learn to more about JRA and the effects it has had on me, my family and my friends, I will be happy to post more here later this month.
