NY Review

The NY show was good. It was a beautiful day out. It was all outside. First was the Mind Body and Self Festival a benefit for breast cancer put on by Self Magazine and Gm/Chevy Cavalier. The festival itself was disappointing. It was hardly promoted at all. Alot of people thought Chris came on at 2pm. When they got there they found out the festival with guest speakers starts at 2pm and Chris didnt come on til 730pm. So alot of people were pissed. But I had called self magazine and already knew he wouldnt be coming on til later.
So anyway Ill skip the festival part and get to the concert. First Nancy Griffith came on and sang. I was in the front row and I saw Chris standing off to the side wearing a blue hawaiian shirt watching the concert. I think he saw me looking at him tho and then he moved out of sight. I cant give a set list, Ill leave that to someone else. He did sing a couple of Elvis like songs I never heard of. His voice sounded really great on those especially. First he was wearing a blue velvet suit with white star like things on it. The band members all wore red suits and black shirts.
A few audience members behind me who never saw Chris before actually laughed at their outfits. That was a little disturbing. Later he changed into his mirrored suit. Chris told all the usual jokes, the poodle, the ford probe, ect. The best moments were when he was spontaneous. A girl was following her boyfriend back to her seat and walked right past Chris as he was singing, Chris said"hey dont follow him, you can do better" every one laughed. Then he said "but not with anyone in this band" After about the 4th song he told everyone to come up to the stage. I did also and was right against the stage, close enough to touch. I took alot of pictures which Ill post on my web page if they come out good. At one point Chris told someone in the audience that they looked mean. I dont know who he was talking to but I didnt think that was too nice.
Then he made some more remarks about the audience but I dont recall them, maybe someone can fill that in too. AT the end the 2 girls jumped on stage and started to dance. He really ignored them, then he took the hand of a girl about 9 years old and pulled her up onto the stage. I thought that was really nice. So she started dancing then a little boy about 7 years old got on stage and started dancing. It was really cute. Chris pointed to him and said "something for the ladies" It was funny. They ended with Bonnie Bee. After that they signed autographs. I didnt have much time because I had to catch a train. But while i was waiting for him to sign something, I took some more pictures. I did see an Asian woman ask him for a kiss. He kissed her on the cheek and I dont know what she said to him but he said "thats all you get" How embarrassing!! I would never ask Chris to kiss me on the lips. Which I am assuming she did. I cant imagine total strangers have the nerve to ask him to do that. But anyway I forgot to add that during the concert Chris asked everyone who was in a relationship to raise their hands. After they did Chris said, "now I know who not to talk to after the show" He also said that he is not in a realtionship right now. He dedicated a song to Carol L., his friend who is very sick. I know he said other stuff but I cant remember. It was a great show as usual. I didnt get a chance to talk to him tho which was disappionting. I am going to the NJ show next week tho so maybe Ill get another chance. Thats it for my review!
