1st installment of Warfield concert reviews
Posted by Blue Darlin'
I just went to BOTH Warfield shows and kept asking the other BH'ers: "Will Jeryl be here tonite? I want to meet that chick! She sounds so totally cool!" No Jeryl, so I guess I'll have to wait 'til LA.
As to my "history", I've been an Isaak fan since about 1989. I've seen him in concert seven times now (at best guess), and only since 1994 when I first saw him live in San Juan Capistrano at The Coach House. The first time I ever talked to Chris and he looked me straight in the eye, I literally went weak in the knees. Those intense blue eyes were like a shock to the system. I've NEVER seen eyes like that on anyone! Wow. I also lost the ability for coherent speech. But things have improved since then in the past four years.....
I have but a few minutes to post, and will give the full scoop on my view of Monday & Tuesday's concerts when I'm home tonite. Briefly: I got interviewed by Ch. 5 waiting on line Monday night. I was RIGHT UP FRONT, hanging onto the stage!! (In front of Roly.) Chris looked me in the eye, like, three times!! Yikes! I took tons of pictures - smuggled in a camera. I even got my picture snapped with Chris - omigod! - after the show. And Roly. And Hershel. And Brett. And got to chat with them all afterwards.
I'm happy to report there were no bitches ('scuse the term) at the show on Monday. Everyone was adult, nice to each other, and there was room, no pushing, shoving, or catty remarks. It was a swell evening. Tuesday was not a good vibe, though, crowd-wise. It seemed that some of the nasty people were out in force - and blah, blahing their way throughout the show.
Bye for now......
