HOB Review

Posted by Betty

Boy what a night. I went to the HOB with my best friend. She had gone with me to the concert in Ventura and wasn't really please about being dragged to another one. (I'm taking her to the one in San Juan too). She was complaining to me all night that her feet hurt and she needed to study. But devoted to me and worried that I would be by myself she went along. Chris sounded great. He changed the songlist a bit. I couldn't remeber all the songs or I'd post them for you. We were both right up front on Roly's side trying not to get trampled by the people behind us. We're both 5 foot so be walked over is pretty easy. (To go on a nother tangent, the opening act was great. Wes Cunningham had some pretty good songs.) Chris did tell the usual stories, adding one new one about the president. (a true republican) All in all it was pretty much like the concerts I had been to the night before.

Then when it came time for the bonnie bee we were very excited. So were the people behind us. They were trying to be the one's to go on stage. But to they're dismay they were not chosen. INSTEAD my friend who was at that moment just standing and swaying side to side was the "chosen one." Chris had eyed her before and gave his hand out to pull her up. She looked to cute on stage. I wish i had a camera. She was the only one that wsas up there that night. She start to do her polynesian dancing. She does that quite often to music she doesn't know how to dance to. When she was up there Kenney had spotted her and told her to come dance by him. We met Kenney the other night. I guess he remembred her. It was so cool. I'm sure she was really happy. After the show p-eople came up to her and congradulated her. They also asked if it was rigged before the show. I'm here to say NO it wasn't. After her fifteen minutes of fame we went to get autougraphs. We were the last one there to get stuff signed. I got her a poster so chris could sign it. When we got there Chris recognized her and they started talking about small stuff. He signed her poster saying, "you dance devine judy, chris isaak" and he also included his self portrait. I got a picture of them together. He kept asking me if she could take her with him on the road. I said the it was a package deal. You take all of us or none of us. He's still deciding.

The irony about this night was that I was the big Chris Isaak fan. Judy wouldn't have gone if I hadn't dragged her. She is now going to go to the concert with me in an Juan. I still haven't made her a big Chris Isaak fan but she is opening up. I feel like I've accomplished something.
