Ventura Review and ramblings

Well the drive was long and I was afraid I had missed the exit when there it was! I got to the theater around 6:30 pm, what a tiny place this is. My friend Dianna stayed in the huge line while I went to check out will call. We met up again as I was getting the will call tixs. We were seated in the second section, right up front. It was the best view in the house in my opinion. It was nice to meet those BHers I saw there, Jeryl, Michelle(not from Australia) and LJD. Sorry if I left any one out I have a short term memory when it comes to names.

The food was good, and the place was cozy, but a little drafty. The opening act was a lot better than Jude(no offense). He really got the crowd pumped for CI.

Then with a quick intermission our man came out wearing a blue suit with the sequins on it. I liked it. I just caught the briefest glimpse of him walking on the stairs off stage before he went on. WOW! The show was great! Seemed like the same set as Pantages. He told a new joke which I hope the others can fill you in on. Short term memory... He did the "Probe" story minus the hairless shitzu gag. Thank god, that's an awful line.

Now don't anyone spoil my fun here, but I swear he was looking at me a lot during the show. You see where I was standing, I was just to his right and about eye level. A good place for him to look. When he did the song "Baby did a bad, bad thing." We said those lines to each other. It was great! :)

He came back for the encores, and he started doing this song that I never heard before when this lady started walking the table to go onstage. Chris ran, she backtailed and security came out. It was all a big joke, and kind of funny. CI was like "I thought I saw my ex coming for me." Then he went on to play "Only the lonely" if memory serves correct. He ended with Bonnie Bee and girls were flocking the stage and security was pulling them off. They finally gave up, too many golddigger dancers to mess with.

The show ended and Chris went out to sign autographs. Before I forget, when CI played speak of the devil some girls up front put on these little devil horn head bands. Hershel ended up wearing a pair later during the show. It was great. When Chris signed my poster (actually he just personalized it for me since I had it signed at the Pantages) I gave, what I think is an awesome picture of a dolphin I took at sea world. I was like this is for you, and he goes it doesn't look anything like me. I think he heard me wrong. Then I showed him the little picture he signed for me( check my earlier post on that) and asked if he would personalize my poster like that. He put still thinking in '99... Not exactly what I wanted ( Betina, I'm still thinking of you) but beggars can't be choosers. I only go by Betty-Lou here, by the way. It works for this scene. It combines my first and last name. Now you know, the secrets out. :)

I waited around with fellow BH'rs to see if CI would take pictures. No luck. We left together and walked right past Roley. Wow! I should have gotten my pic with him, but, next time. That's about it.
