Tahoe

Okay, this is my first big post, so please bear with me if I'm a little EXCITED and kinda of a spaz. I thought you'd all enjody my second concert-Warfield was my first. Here ya go!
Another girl and went to Tahoe this weekend to see Mr. Isaak. What a man. What a man, what a man.
We left on Saturday morning and did a little shopping in Vacaville on the way up. I'm going there again-great deals! I picked up some shoes to match the outfit that I bought at Macy's a couple of weeks ago.
So we're so excited about going to the show that we started getting ready at 4:00pm up at the Ski Club at Donnner. We had the whole "girl getting ready" thing going on. Talking, dressing and putting on make-up. I miss doing that with my sisters. We used to spend a lot of time doing that. Soooo the other girl and I are off to Ceasar's Tahoe and end up taking the east side of the lake rather than going the west route. It takes a bit longer, but Ceasar's told us that the west route is closed due to weather.
Oh well.. So we arrive! We park illegally so that we don't have to walk ALL the way up to the top of the garage. We get inside the casine/hotel and its SOOO MUCH STIMULATION. Too too much. We were looking for a restaraunt to hide/eat in that didn't have a 2 hour wait.
We ended up eating across the street at a little tiny coffee shop. I forgot that we were in Nevada-so they allow smoking-YUCKO!
Okay, okay, I'll speed things up. We were walking out of Caesar's before dinner and we saw Silvertone--all of Chris' band members walking right towards us. I just smiled and kept on walking.
So the other girl and I go to the HUGE restroom to primp. Very fun. Lotta Hootchie Mama Chicks hanging round. What's up with the dresses and outfits? I say. Nothing is left to imagination.
Sooooo Chris and the band promptly start playing at 9:30pm. WHEWEEEE! What a man! Played all the new album, lots of the old stuff and then he jumps offstage to start running/playing guitar around the theater. WELL, the other girl and I are standing at the right side of the theater, cause that is where are seats are--and he stops to play guitar right in front of me. I've been dancing all night, so I just kept on dancing and reached out to gently place my hand on his arm. OH GOD. This is amazing! He smiles and keeps on running. Wow. So NOW I HAVE TO GET MY ROLLING STONE BOOK SIGNED is the first thought that runs through my head.
After the show, another girl and I jockey for an autograph cause the guard tells us where they will be signing autographs. Whew. Soooooo we walk up to the table-they have the tables set up in a ring so that Chris can just keep going in circles signing as his LoveLorn fans flock to him. It was great! He got to me ( as the other girl was holding back some girls trying to charge the table) and he looked at the book and wrote "COOL FIN, CHRIS ISAAK" on the surfing picture of himself. I was so shy, I couldn't say anything. He said "That's an old fin" and I finally murmured "Oh, it is... THANK You" It was so much fun. We waited around to have our picture taken, but he only stayed for 10 minutes and was outta there. I was being too nice and let some other girl have her picture taken. No More Nice Girl! Well, okay I'll be nice, but I'm getting a picture in June when he plays at the Mountain Winery. I need to talk to Akemi for "tricks of the lovelorn fan"
