Here's a Reno Review

Reno rocked. The Hilton Pavilion was a large auditorium/theater and they put folding seats out for the show. The hotel was so hot, we thought we would pass out even before we went to the show. It was like a sauna in there, and I swear you could have steamed clams by the end of the night. I don't know how the guys made it through the show, especially CI after he put the mirrors on.
He wore the purple, crushed velvet suit and the guys wore the gray suits. They made a rather unique entrance. About the time we thought the show should be starting, we heard some noises from the back, and it was the band. They were walking through the auditorium and Kenney was banging on something. I couldn't see what it was, but it didn't sound like a drum. They came all the way from the back to the front and went in towards the side of the stage and disappeared. Then the band came on stage and CI followed, making his usual entrance.
The set list was the same as it has been, but they did add "wine, wine, wine" and "Blue Moon" and one other song that I didn't know. Maybe someone else who was there recognized it and can help me out. They all seemed to be really up for the show, maybe because they had the night off the night before. CI told the same stories about the poodle hairs, finding Hershel and throwing the gasoline on the significant other. He did seem to draw them out a little longer because the crowd was really with him.
When he called everyone up to the front, I think half the place went up there. The people in the front row were all but trampled, but I didn't see anyone complaining. I was in the 6th row, and it was solid people clear back to us. There weren't many people in their seats beyond the first few songs, which was good to see. Everyone was dancing there little hearts out and n fun police in sight.
One gal jumped up on stage and tried to grab Chris but she was caught and escorted back to the floor. After they got her off the stage, CI went to the mic and said "She tried to pinch my posterior, but my mirrors saved me". The audience loved it!
When he went out in the audience during Bonnie Bee, he bought a 10-year old girl named Courtney back to the stage. She seemed scared, but at least she gave him her name. She danced a little, but was too scared to do much. There were 4 or 5 others who made it up there and no one got out of hand. They just danced and had a good time.
All in all, it was a great show. I think they have just gotten better and better as the tour has gone on. CI has been in great voice and the band has just been awesome. Hershel just wails and Kenney cooks on the drums. Brett has been a great addition and can really play. Roly was no slouch either.
There were so many people in the autograph line, we didn't think they would ever get done. We couldn't take pix during the show, so we waited outside the theater to see if CI would come out for pix. Finally, they let us back inside, but there were so many people waiting, Doug finally pulled him away before everyone, including me, could get a picture. I can't complain. The guy is so gracious, and accomodating, and he really did look exhausted by then. I guess someone has to look after him, if he won't say "no" to anyone himself. That was the only disappointment in an otherwise great evening. Once again, they were just incomparable.
