SEATTLE & PORTLAND SHOWS!!!!!!OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!

Posted by ERiN

Hello everyone!

Here is my humble opinion of the P and S shows. The Portland, OR show was OUTSTANDING!!! Chris is such a gifted performer! The Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall was beautiful (as would be expected), and the crowd was curteous and classy as usual. Us Portlanders know when to scream and when to shut up.

As for the performance, Chris seemed to have extraordinary energy, chasing the boys around the stage, and seemed honored that the show sold out to such an extent.

The review below says it all, however, the most intriguing live performace I have ever seen was when he sang "Forever Blue"........BEAUTIFUL! The crowd was so silent you could have heard a pin drop. The Seattle crowd was not as curteous (sorry everyone). I was fortunate to hear him sing that again at the Seattle show the following night from the 5th row.

The Seattle show was almost as empowering, and they added an extra touch by singing a Willy Nelson Christmas song (I can't remember the name of it).

There seems to be a new theme for their lighting and backdrop, I really liked it! Very interesting! Both shows ended with Bonny Bee and Wine, Wine, Wine (as usual). Poor Hershel still is the source of most jokes (but he is a great sport!) At the Portland show I managed to get my poster and CD autographed. Again, the boys outdid themselves for us Northwesterners. Thanks Guys!!!!

I forgot to mention: get the kleenex ready! Do you all remember that amazing high you feel towards the end of a show? The one that lingers with you until 6 hours after the concert? Well, right when it really hits you, during Wine, Wine, Wine, or at some point near, Chris always jumps off stage and goes running through the crowd. Well....at the Seattle show, when he came back on-stage he brought back with him a young boy about 10 or 12 years old, and BROUGHT him on-stage! He put the guitar on him, and the boy looked like it was the best moment of his life. WAY TO GO!!!!!!!!!!! I thought that was so sweet and cool of him. It almost brought a tear to my eye.......Maybe you had to be there. Am I silly, or do you all agree that it was VERY cool of Mr. Isaak to make that kid's night?
