Conn. Concert review- Still in la la

What an experience- I got there late- CI was taking the stage as I was fighting with security about where my seats were. UH! They were the problem most of the night- nobody was allowed to leave their seat. Even after CI said for everyone to come down- security had a fit. Actually, I was around a handful of girls who were thrown out of the concert after the third song- into the parking lot. I don't know what happed-but at the end of the concert ( last half hour ) security gave up! ( ding dong the witch is dead, the witch is dead! )

Now to more important issues- CI wore the black and red suit/mirrored suit. The set list was the same as the night before in NYC- so were most of the jokes. Who cares, the man is hysterical! He did crack a really funny joke about how he was in NY the night before- and that the concert there was just a rehersal for " Wallingford " Conn.

During the course of the night- people were dancing- ( older crowd than NYC I noticed )and some chicks jumped on stage- then got kicked out. 1 girl even jumped on stage during the first or second song! I followed some girls lead and I jumped the wagon and got removed from the stage- they were trying to " escort " me from the music hall- but my friend Jen, who was front row dancing fell into the security guy, I ducked below until he couldn't find me anymore and then rocked on some more!

The night before in NYC I was talking to the band and CI about - in general- falling in love with music- anyway- sounds weird- but Blue Moon came up ( the song by Elvis that Chris covers )and I said that would be the song that makes me fall in love with music. That night CI nudges me over and says " when things get quiet tomorrow night- remind me about blue moon" ?? OK I'm thinking to myself. Anyway- back in the Conn. show- I was infront of the stage when they came out to do their lighter music, and he winks at me and starts talking to the audience-looking at me- he was leading up to the reason he was going to play "Blue Moon " I could have dropped right there.

The concert continues and Roly pulled a girl on stage during Bonnie Bee ( the night before- CI and Kenny told me that they were going to pull my friend and I onstage )Kenny looks at me and turns his neck- signaling me to come onto the stage and I nodded no when other girls were jumping on stage and getting thrown out- so he kept doing it and pointed behinde him. Well, I figured, Kenny will protect me from the mean security people. I jumped! I get up and Chris looks at me while I'm walking towards Kenny behind the drum set onto his platform- CI says " where are you going " It was all-right- I was having a great time with Kenny....until security came and tryed to pull me away-then CI's manager comes out from behinde the stage onto the stage and takes my hand and puts me back- he said to the security guy that I was supposed to be there. HA! I continued to dance along on stage- along with the other girl that Roly pulled up.

My friend, my dear friend stayed behinde when Roly tried to pull her onto the stage so that she could take pictures of me up there- I question her motives though- I think the pictures are going to be used as blackmail at work... and then the concert ended- and we all took a bow. Amen. I waited around for Vamp girl- who unfortunatly, I did not meet up with- then I went outside into the enormous lobby/bar- looking for a bathroom- got a small amount of applause when I went into the lobby- probably for the ba*ls!

Someone came up to me and handed me discretly a back stage pass- I looked at it for a minute- and figured that it was not worth it being that they would becoming out into the lobby by the time I made my way around. Someone calls my name by the bar- Kenny was there- I went over and he had a drumstick ready for me that said" Susanne - you rock my world " ya baby! I talked with the guys for a little bit- alot of people kept coming over for autographs- so I stood back. When I saw chris- he said- "( in reference to singing Blue Moon )I did that for you- I never do requests- hell I never even go by the set list ! " The manager ( who helped me ) came up and was taking a picture of us and the camera didn't work- CI said " well it worked for me " We laughed a little bit- got a kiss bye- bye and they were off to Virginia ( 450 miles to do that night that they were not anticipating ) This concludes my night of the CI experience. I get my pictures back tomorrow and will learn how to scan them in ASAP.

PS- When all was said and done- my friend jen and I were the last one's out of the building. As we headed for the doors there was someone outside locked out- we walk closer and my friend starts breathing heavy and keeps saying Susanne, Susanne. It was her crush- Shawn Mullins who was smoking a cigarette. What a humble guy-after talking with him, my friend said- so this is what suffering from the CI experience is about?!
