Attention, ladies! If you're looking to land a handsome rock star like Chris Isaak, forget about hitting the gym: Hit the books instead.

"If I wanted to have an easy life, all I would have to do is date either strippers or fashion models, because that's what people push at you," the singer-songwriter tells the New York Post. "But I like a woman who looks like she's got a few lines on her face. I like women who look like they're very serious."

The "Wicked Game" crooner is touring to promote his latest release, Speak of the Devil, and it looks like his high standards are the reason he remains single at 42. "Who do you want to be on your team?" he asks. "Somebody who's just going to stand next to you and giggle? Or somebody who you can go home to and talk to about your day? Look, I'm a guy, and if you parade some bimbo past me on the street who's falling out of her clothes, I'll definitely turn and look. But I'm also smart enough to know that that's 20 minutes of fun; if you want to have a good time for a long time, get somebody smart."
