Following the live radio broadcast of Chris Isaak's show at Bimbo's in San Francisco the night before last (June 28), Isaak told ATN that he will be recording duets with Madonna and Gloria Estafan in the coming months. Isaak will trade verses with the Material Girl on "Something Stupid," a song that none other than Frank Sinatra sang with daughter Nancy so many years ago. No word yet on what Isaak and Estefan will sing. Isaak was particularly witty during simultaneous appearances on AOL and CompuServe after the show. When a CompuServe subscriber asked if he could recommend any surfing spots in San Francisco, Isaak said, "Locals only, no gremmies allowed. Seriously, if you come to San Francisco the cool spot to surf is Pansy Cove." Then, to those in the dressing room he made this aside: "No surfer wants to be caught dead at Pansy Cove." When asked what it was like to work with David Lynch, Isaak responded: "Like eating a candy bar and riding in a kiddy car and watching the daisies wave." Uh, sure.
