Details...
Well, not those details. It was the summer of 2007 and we were on vacation at Aloha State Park... Molly was at my parents and Laura and I had the camper to ourselves. We had decided a few months before to stop "trying" so hard to have a baby because it was just too darn stressful and we needed to forget about it for a while. Well, the problem must have been the stress. This vacation was going great. We had been out boating with a great group of friends and we were having a great time. Oh, and there was probably some alcohol involved. Need I say more?
14 May 2008: Video added!
A quick video taken with our new digital camera a mere ten minutes old! The nurses were working to check Nolan out and this video was when they were taking his measurements! Very cool!

12 May 2008: Photos of the newly arrived Nolan Albert Schreiber!
He arrived on May 8th, 2008, after a mere 22 hour induced labor! We thought he'd never get here, but he did! At 5:06 AM he made his way into this world with a little help from a little suction cup thingy. Mom was exhausted, of course. So was dad (and both grandma's)! He weighed in at 8 lbs 8 oz. and was 21 inches long!

So, we are all home now.... it's been a rough couple of days. Not much sleep to be had in our house. Although it is getting better. The first night was the worst. Nolan has a bit of Jaundice, and we have the "Billi Bed" at home for him to use. This is a difficult contraption to get used to... can't do much with him connected to this thing all the time. He should only be on it for a few days though. We can't wait for that to happen and we can have him to move around the house with us!
Laura is doing well... healing from this trauma. I can't believe how well she did in labor! It is just so difficult to believe we made it through and here we are!

Well, we are expecting the little guy anytime now. Hard to believe it's been almost eight months already. Anyway, here's the latest photos of the room!
The closet door was a pain... special order and then had to plane it down because our old house doesn't have a straight board in it! At least it finally turned out OK... looks much better than the open hole that was there!
And at last... the sleeping quarters! And I do hope there will be a LOT of sleeping!
Ok, and here is one of Laura's belly... she probably doesn't want this posted, but... ooops!! Better to ask forgiveness than permission. Notice Molly is in the bed and quite relaxed... her behind shows in the upper left corner!
