a) Participants must register and pay the registration fee, raft, tampatau, and rampanau; must be able to swim; physically and mentally fit; must take their own safety measures; and must follow strictly all the rules and regulations specified by the organiser.
b) Age of participants is based on the day of the event.
c) Participants of the Xtreme 5M and 5M Open categories are required to make the bamboo raft using the bamboo logs, wood frames, and ropes provided by the organiser. Participants that are assisted by any other party shall be automatically disqualified from the race.
d) Participants shall take part in this K4MC event voluntarily at their own risks, and shall have insurance coverage, wear life jackets and safety helmets, and provide other safety measures at their own expense. The organiser shall not bar nor disqualify participants from taking part in the event for non-compliance to this rule but shall not be liable and shall be forever exempted from any claim or claims related to death and/or injuries arising from their participation in the event.
e) Every participant is required to sign a Declaration of Indemnity. The parent or guardian of participants under 21 years of age must sign the Declaration by Parent/Guardian.
f) Any appeal must be accompanied by a protest fee of RM 100.00 cash and lodged to the Race Director within 15 minutes after the announcement of the resutls. The protest fee is not refundable.
g) The decisions of the judges are final.
h) A participant will be disqualified upon:
- Failure to pay the registration fee and other charges specified by the organiser.
- Failure to report to the K4MC Event Secretariat 30 minutes or earlier before flag-off.
- Failing to display prominently his/her assigned number.
- Failure to report at/go through the specified Check Points.
- Defaulting any rule(s) or regulation(s) of the event.
- Causing any disruption or interruption to the event.
i) The organiser reserves the absolute discretion/right to amend the rules and regulations of the event.
