Novice licensed, as WV2AHH at the age of 13 in 1958. I upgraded to WA2AHH. I�ve always enjoyed pounding brass.
During the Vietnam War, I enlisted in the USN and ended up as a Radioman. I enjoyed running CW Ship-to-Shore at the Naval Communications Station Guam �NPN�. I later enjoyed, CW Ship-to-Shore from the Naval Communications Station Exmouth, Northwest Cape, West Australia �NWC�. We handled traffic from military and commercial ships at sea.
My other interests are; fishing the lakes and streams of central NY State; refurbishing old wooden tube-type radios; hunting for local edible wild plants and mushrooms; Native American music and history; operating CW QRO and QRP for rag-chewing, DX and some contesting.

My home station: Yaesu FT 1000mp Mark 5 transceiver. I use a Dentron Super Tuner connected to a 140 foot Zepp, center fed with 450 ohm ladder line. I also have an Ameritron AL-80B linear amplifier. My microphone is a Heil HM-10 and my CW keys are a Vibroplex Champion, a McElroy 1938B, and several old hand pumps.
For QRP, I use a MFJ-9020 and a Heathkit HW-8 (Thank you Doug "Dave" Demaw �W1CER)
