I got the frame used for a song. Built it from closeout parts and a good hand built wheelset. Altogether it weighs just over 24 lbs and cost less than a new steel specialized rockhopper. What a bargain.
I use it for woods riding, commuting on nice days and all around tech XC type riding.
Future upgrades will be to replace the 300g BB, 270g post, get some lightweight cranks (sub 600g w/ rings) and a Ti stem. When I am done in a year, getting the best prices I can, I hope to make it a sub 23 lbs bike.
