Bob the Magpie

BTM is the bands first tune that was completed.  This marked a turning point as since then the band has been creating tunes rapidly.  The tune relates around the four chords A9, A minor, C9 and then C7.  These chords are relaxing and are used through the majority of the music.  Below are the lyrics for the tune:

His name was, Bob the Magpie
He’d wear a, pink tye
And yes, he couldn’t fly

Oh Bob, Oh Bob the Magpie
Oh Bob, Oh Bob the Magpie

He had a friend, called Zeberdia
He was a chimpanzee, from Ireland
He played the flute, like a bute

Oh Zeberdia, Oh Zeberdia from Ireland
Oh Zeberdia, Oh Zeberdia from Ireland

One day they, decided to meet
Poor Zeberdia, had smelly feat
He said one day you’ll die
You’ll make a, great pie

Oh Magpie, You made a great pie,
Oh Magpie, You made a great pie

The piece is played in the key of A minor and the solo is in the A minor pentatonic scale to add to the drearyness effect that this tune creates.  To download a midi file of a recent version of this tune click here.  The music is a midi file and is copyright.
