Per-Olof Astrand
Per-Olof Astrand (Sweden) is a professor in Karolinska lnstitue Medical School in Stockholm since 1988. He was invited to lecture in approximately 55 countries and 160 cities outside Sweden. He published more than 200 papers in English of different research findings and reviews. He is a member in many organizations, such as the Assembly for Awarding the Nobel Prize in Physiology or medicine at the Karolinska Institute, International Union of Physiological Sciences, and he is a member in editorial boards of many international journals (e.g. Sports Medicine, Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise, Acta Physiologica Scandinavica).
Dr. Roger M. Nelson
Roger Nelson (USA) is the director and professor of the physical therapy program at Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pennsylvania. He has more than 40 years of experience as an educator, clinician and researcher. He has published two text books (one book is in the third ediction). He is the author and co-author of 35 peer reviewed publications in the scientific literature, has presented more than 100 research papers, has presented several keynote addresses in several countries and is a visiting professor at the University of Health Professions in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. His current research activities include measuring the health related quality of life for patients who receive physical therapy. He is a Catherine Worthingham Fellow of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Dr. Karim Khan
Karim Khan (Australia & Canada) MD and PhD is an international sports medicine authority best known as the coauthor of the best selling textbook (Clinical Sports Medicine). The majority of his 100+ publication relate to the general topics of tendon injuries and bone health. He has been a keynote speaker at sports medicine and physiotherapy conferences in over 10 countries. He is also the co-author of (Physical Activity and Bone Health).
Dr. Elizabeth Dean
Elizabeth Dean (Canada) is professor in the School of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of British Columbia. In 1997 and 1998 she was the senior for the Cardiovascular/Cardio respiratory team of the Kuwait Dalhousie Project. Her research and clinical interests have focused on exploiting physical therapy in the management of leading health care problems namely, heart diseases, lung diseases, high blood pressure, stroke and diabetes.
