Learning Through Hard Work
Winding
At every school we visit, the air of depature is thick.  Students are ready for a two week break.  Teachers and staff are ready for a break.

So for a final class, we make sure and end with a bang.  Whatever is going to give the students the biggest sense of success, that's what I try and give them.  Is the group hungry for a sweat?  Great - we hand them a chipper.  Is the group looking to show off all the martial skills they have learned?  Fantastic - run them through the basics.  Is the group looking to show off the gains they've made in working together?  Perfect - let's throw some new games at them and see how everyone works together.

For SW charter, it was a chipper.  Those kids need to move, so I gave them the chance and they jumped at it.  For the Winterhaven students, I gave them the task of all leading through Sui-Wan one time.  It took patience, focus and skill.  They did a great job of showing all three.

Next year, Winterhaven will be stepping up to two days a week.  This will hopefully mean that students have the possibility of getting rank.  SW Charter will be scaling down to once a week, as they are going to be taking "traditional PE" on Wednesdays.
