Peru Nordic Membership Coordinator, Bob Maswick, spent the majority of the Loppet Banquet trying to lure Junior sensation, Carly Wynn from her current commitment with Saratoga Biathlon Club. "She is surely a force to be reckoned with, and she will earn us some sick points at the NYSSRA Championships!, " said maswick. "Kobak needs to quickly burn for her Metallica's Master of Puppets CD, so she can meet the Master membership requirement." Maswick is also trying to get Carly's mom, Star Cook, into the Peru Nordic fold, "...she is a perfect fit for our team. I mean, we already have a cool nickname for her...'DeathStar of Damage', we must sign these two to long term deals!" To sweeten the deal, Maswick secretly switched his lucky banquet lottery tickets with the two recruits. Of course, both were winners.
