Keskinada= Negative temperatures, Deathskinada = Negative Splits!

The first annual Deathskinada Loppet will take place at Mitchellbeiner Skistadion on Wednesday 1/31. Skiers may start (keep their own times) any time between 3 PM and 6 PM. Skiers must ski 3 laps of the Mitchellbeiner race course (freestyle technique). Skiers score points on each lap, taking into account a new "age handicapping", using the following formula (most points scored wins...)

Score = (20 - Lap1 in minutes to the nearest 10th) + (lap1-lap2) + (Lap2-lap3) + (age/5)

For example if Chris Rose, 36, skis a 14.6 minute lap, then a 14 minute, then a 14.5 minute lap, his score would be ((20-14.6) + (14.6-14)+(14-14.5)+(36/5))= (5.4 + 0.6 -0.5+7.2) = 12.7 points... This race is all about negative splits (and 7th grade math).
