Just before Saturday's NYSEF Harry Eldridge Race, Mike Wynn got those encouraging words that every father longs to hear from his daughter, "Dad... I HOPE YOU SUFFER MISERABLY!!!" Well, a tough skate race with quick uphill blasts was uncomfortable, but Wynn managed to control the race and easily won the M2 class. However, Sunday was a different story. Wynn could not make a move on the field during the 15 km classic race. He awoke with a terrible case of "stomach crud." Not afraid to walk the thin line between tough and dumb, Wynn put the hammer down during the race. "I can't give up too much to Kobak, Rose and Lis," said the doubled over Wynn, "those guys are like vultures trying to take NYSSRA M2 points away from me." Wynn managed to finish third in the M2 class, behind Kobak and a dazed and confused Chris Rose.
