Jim Allott, Potsdam, NY blisters through the course of "one of Clinton County's loudest cross-country ski races."

Jim Allott of Potsdam paced the field at the innagural Monsters of Rock 12 km classic race. The Mitchellbeiner skistadion crowd was awed by Allot's display. Using skate poles, Allot maximized the glide on the Mitchellbeiner Skistadion terrrain. "He's easily 2-3 years ahead of our course designers," said amazed NYSSRA president, Chris Rose. Peru Nordic's Mike Wynn managed to finish 3rd overall, just behind North Creek's Paul Allison. And a good time was had by most (especially Jim Allot). Janet Findlay of Peru Nordic captured the overall woman's title, followed by Janice Sibilia and Jill Koziol. Bridget O'leary, Maile Sapp and Everett Sapp took their respective Junior titles.
