Get ready to rumble: PNMSP NFL WildCard Playoffs Gridiron Red Zone Event... Tomorrow!

The Peru Nordic Masters have announced an impromptu ski event for tomorrow, January 7, 2007. This event is inspired by the ongoing NFL playoffs and is losely referred to as the "Roller Bowl."

In this event, each skier will get four "downs" to score as many points as possible. Each skier must make it to the end zone before the play clock expires in order to score points. Each down must start at the corner of Barney Downs Road and Calkins Road, and the end zone is the Graveyard atop the Hill of Death. The play clock is set at 35 minutes for each down. Skiers will ski the Hill of Death course and keep track of their own time. The difference in minutes between the skier's time and the time remaining on the play clock will be equal to the number of points that skier scores (for example, if, say, Bob Maswick makes it up in a blistering 27 minutes, he would score 8 points). Skiers may attempt to score points no more than four times. He with the most points wins, and advances to play the San Diego Chargers next week. There will be shuttle service between the top and bottom of the Hill of Death climb. We will meet at the Hill of Death start at 10:30 AM.
