Another good day on snow...

Jim Kobak skiing back from some quality time at the yurt (note the angle of compression and ankle flexion of the ski he kick off on).

The Peru Nordic Masters wrapped up a killer weekend on the "closed" trails of MT. Van Hoevenberg.  Conditions were ok, and conditioning was good.  "All of my rollerskiing has paid off. I was flying out there," beemed an excited Bob Maswick,"...plus the fact that I am totally amped for the Johnny Winter concert, made this an awesome day."  The Peru Nordic crew got in some no poles drills and hill work.   Some up tempo climbing was done under the watchful eye of High Peaks Cyclery: Nordic specialists' Brian Delaney.  Excited by the performance of the PNSMP team, Delaney stated something about being "chipper" and launched a lucrative granola bar deal for the team.

Now, all that needs to happen is a little cooperation from Mother Nature.  Chris Rose is skeptical, "That b#*ch better deal us some serious snow, or else I'm headed back to Big Hill on my rollerskis."  Peru Nordic is still planning an assault on Lapland Lake for the Reign in deer Roundup next weekend... keep your fingers crossed.
