Behold the Hand of Doom... Blistering through the RollerVasa!

November 18, 2006-  A bright sunny day welcomed the throngs of skiers and fans for the annual Peru-MitcHELLbeiner RollerVasa.   And, Chris "the Kick Double-poltergeist" Rose employed his lats of steel to capture the prestigious title.  Rose's win is his fifth in five pre-season events.  Rose beat out silver-medalist, Jim Kobak by 35 seconds, to finish the 30 k course with a time of 2:05:12.  Experts attribute Chris' classic rollerskiing success to his PhD program study of Kick Double Pole at DeVry Institute Online.  Chris' thesis, The angle of ankle displacement on right side kick during level two intensity interval training at 6.66 mmol of lactate and it's effect on median stride length of Masters 2 skiers, recieved one of the highest honors at the Joergen Aukland Conference of Truly Obscure and Irrelevant Traning Ideas.   When asked specifically how his studies tilted the outcome of the race,  "All I know...," said an excited Rose, "...is that I got a wicked blister on my hand"
