the 31st, 32nd and 34 th best skiers in the USA...

Backside of Whiteface- The US Ski team hosted an uphill timetrial for the top 30 skiers in the nation.  The next day they allowed #s 31-35 to ski the same course.  Joe "Colossus of Chaos" Korzinecki crested the 20 km hillclimb in first position.    Jim Kobak, remembering last weeks Hill of Death debaucle,  drafted off of Bob Maswick until the final stretch, before summiting the climb in second place.   Ed Lis finished a strong fourth, losing precious seconds to an unfortunate equipment malfunction.   Conspicuously absent was top 35 skier, Chris Rose.  Rumor has it that he was sipping wine coolers and "manscaping" while the rest of the PNMSP was doing the manly task of rollerski hill climbing.  The team was happy with the overall performance.  "We are feeling strong in the early season" said Bob Maswick, "...our technique is coming along, and Zack Caldwell will be able to work out the bugs with his  new grinder with our skis." 

In other news, Membership Chairman, Bob Maswick, has announced the possiblilty of the first female signee with the Peru Nordic Masters.  "It will feel strange seing someone without a Y chromosome ripping up the trails for the PNMSP, but it will really help score some points for the team!"  said a confident Maswick.   No word yet on whether this news has effected pre-order sales for the team's annual swimsuit calendar.
