It was an equally long day today and Rick for the most part is resting comfortably.  He did require some extra pain medication tonight to allow him to be comfortable.  He sat up on the side of the bed bfiefly today and slept on and off.

I dont know if he will be up to much of a visit for the next day or so anyway.   I have not even brought our kids up to see him since He cannot keep his eyes open for more than a few minutes at a time.  I certainly enjoyed spending some time with His Aunt Gail this evening.  I hope that tomorrow he will have most of the tubes removed and may even be up out of bed.  We have been told that the 3rd day is usually the worst for pain so I am hoping he is spared that part.

I am again totally exhausted and am heading for some pillows of my own.
