Racing has started with lots of excitement and frustration this year. 

Rick and I are now both racing open wheel modifieds and due to some ignition problems in both cars we have not made the start we were hoping for.

With all this great support we are hoping for a fantastic season!  As of May 20, 2006 we are currently 8th in points after a surprising 8th place finish in the feature.  The race track was not much more than a plowed field by the time the modifieds made it out to the track.  It was sheer endurance that kept me out there after getting a flat tire from breaking the bead on my right rear tire.

Rick did not make out as well and did not even do one lap in the feature due to failure of his car to start.  It seems an elusive problem with the sylonoid was the problem and has now been resolved.  He says he will be waving as he passes me on the straightaway.

May 20th could not have been as successful as it was for me without the help of some great guys!  A bit thanks to everyone that pitched in and helped get the 35 mod running for the feature.  I am hopeful that this year will continue in the spirit of true racing commaradry as it should be!
