Hi, my name is Kelli Mowry. Formerly Kelli Wrenn Parrotte, and in the future Kelli Wrenn Floyd. I just turned 30 and I have Classic PKU. I was diagnosed at 8 days old and was basically one of the first people to be diagnosed at birth in North Carolina. i have made this site as a diary to help PKU patients, friends, and family to know that they are not alone.
As you know, Thanksgiving is coming up. It is going to be quite hard to stay on diet strictly. But yesterday, just before the Auburn/Alabama game I made a great low protien snack mix. 4 cups of Loprofin cereal loops.4 cups Milupa paprika snacks and 4 cups of Milupa italian snacks. Just mix them together with8 Tablespoons melted butter,2 Tablespoons worchestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon onion powder, and 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Then bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every15 minutes. it is really tasty!
