Yakki dha greetings. The Pict who was cannonised and made into a saint! That was saint Ninian, apostle to the Picts of Galloway. He was perahps helped with this warband by the great druid of the area betraying the picts to the Ulster lot in return for running the Ulster brewery of heather ale. Ninian was from the Niduari, ie himself a Pict of Galloway. So began the spread of the Celtic Church or Kirk. One of its distinctives was that it viewed nature as an insight into the magestry of the Creator, and so looked to the beauty and splender of nature. This worked well with the druids and celts.
