Not too much going on today. I found a cell phone in the grass on the side of the road last week. It had no battery and no SIM card, and it looked like it either got run over or the owner tried to break it before throwing it out her window. So I put up an ad on our local classified site, and I called Cingular and reported it. The rep called the owner while I waited. She got her voicemail. She put a note in her file that I had the phone and was waiting for contact from her. Then she tried to call her again. Voicemail again. I haven't heard from her, so I'm assuming she doesn't want the phone.
So today I'm going over to the Cingular store to see if they can get it to work. We have a refurbished Cingular phone now, and boy is it a dinosaur. It doesn't even have a clock, and it doesn't always pick up signal. It didn't register any signal from Monday night to late yesterday afternoon--nearly 24 hours. Oh was that frustrating, especially since I'm waiting for a call concerning an apartment we're looking at. The phone I found is currently being sold by Cingular, so if they can get it to work, woo-hoo!
