| Japanese Popular Music, unlike it's western counterparts is generally not seperated into categories like rock, rap, hip-hip, and so on. Not until recently has this been done at some of the bigger music stores like Tower Records, Virgin, and HMV. To give you insight into the variety of music currently available in Japan this section of the site will present information on four of the main categories and one special area. This will mainly be in the form of artist information and biographies.
