| Candace experienced a momentary lapse in reason that led to a two year membership in a group called the International Churches of Christ. (Think Amway for God) While in the cult (church), I was taught information that rocked my world and turned my belief system topsy turvy. Almost fully recovered now, but this is just a little word of warning...if people come up to you (say while you are shopping, at an outdoor festival, waiting at a bus stop etc..) stating that they are "disciples" and you must believe as they do in order to receive the Kingdom of God, run like the wind and don't look back. Most of these people are just blindly following others and don't know any better, others are just power hungry. I was one of the luckier ones who maintained my own mind (and friends outside of the church...bad no no in their eyes) and was always "struggling" and needed constant "discipling".
