| Did you know that the original Halloween movie was shot almost entirely in California, yet it was set in Haddonfield, Illinois? Further more, there is no such place as Haddonfield, Illinois, producer Debra Hill was originally from Haddonfield, New Jersey and thought the name was good for the movie. At various times during the movie you can see palm trees in the distance. Large bags of leaves were used to throw in front of fans during shooting to make it look like Fall.
