GETTING GOLDEN
SCROLL DOWN FOR POEM
In winter, I am secure and safe Having spent most of my life in this place With age, I began to feel the cold The lonesomeness became tired and old In growth, I was able to know Something fresh in the melting snow With Spring, my contentment was shown Still longing for warmth I have never known In Summer, you would bring the sun Kissing my cheeks and starting the run The show I have wanted to see Would truly become part of you and me Dancing light would lift my heart It would never leave us cold, drifting apart From Spring, I can see the summer there I want to reach out to you, making you care To you, I would always be beholden For being the one who made me golden. --Andrea Domitrovich
