| FACING THE BEAST |
| I watch you face the beast within, a battle you feel you alone can win. The rage that wells from deep inside, is constantly challenged by your pride. During the fight, you keep me away, I feel your sorrow with each passing day. My tears fall heavy with my desire, to help you with anything that you require. Instead, you choose to ask nothing of me, and I stand by, anguishing helplessly. I long to help you take up the sword, to smite this dishonorable demon of yours. You insist you alone must face the beast, and I pray for this damaging war to cease. My love I am not allowed to express, while you leave me behind to continue your quest. The beast would be slain by just we two, he could not face down both me and you. |
