In a stunning blow, NATO has now confirmed the loss of the USS Ronald Reagan as a result of damage sustained during the recent clashes with SRR forces. While not able to release specific casualty information, the loss of life is said to be "devastatingly high".

This has the potential to be the greatest US Naval loss since Pearl Harbor, when nearly 2,000 sailors were killed during the sneak attack by Japanese forces.

As the magnitude of the disaster in the North Sea becomes clear, both the Secretary of the Navy and Chief of Naval operations have resigned. Pentagon and Congressional investigations into the loss continue. The loss has also whipped up huge Anti-war protests across the nation.
