US Marines have suffered heavy losses following an amphibious landing near Teriberka Inlet on the Kola Peninsula. One of the primary reasons the operation failed, according to the USMC commanding general, was "lack of effective support". The Marines were unable to expand their beachhead and were trapped on the rocky coast. Red Russian artillery was able to inflict devastating losses before the Marines finally evacuated their troops from the beach.

In the south, the Blue Russian offensive stalled as Red forces managed to unleash an unexpected counter offensive. NATO intelligence now believes they overestimated the effect airpower was having on the resupply of Red troops in the field.
