LONELINESS

It seems that you are gone
More than you are near.
Passions that we once shared
When you took me to sail
Are now faded
To these four cold stone walls
And my thoughts
A little more jaded.
I feel like one more possession
Though this house is full.
There is nothing but a grape,
And a few memories that follow.
O those vows that we once made!
Were that I would die
Than be without you!
Tis True!
My heart is heavy,
And my soul is now the colour of grey.
For with the turn of each night
Without you, comes just one more day.
I have decided to take residence
In Delucia, a new town.
To find new frontiers,
And perhaps some company
Will come round.
Though I very much doubt
I can find any there,
For sadness and grief
Are all I have to bear.
There is nothing left
But for me to just wander,
For these last few words
Are left with my tear,
And for you to but ponder.
I bid thee farewell my love,
As I unlatch this cage,
And as we both know not
To turn this page.
It is with great pain
That I let fly your dove,
And feel your rage!
