The Brown book emphasizes reading in the G (treble) clef but includes some C Clef exercises as learned in the Blue Album. Transposition, 2 and 3 part singing, and interpretation of more complex rhythms and meters are included in many exercises. The album also has game pages, artisanly drawn. |

Rhythms are not only studied mathematically. Students should 'feel' the rhythms and transport them into their spoken language by inventing phrases. |

The Brown book has 28 pages like the Red, Green and Blue books. Both C and G clefs are studied and sung collectively. Pitches can be movable. |

Many writing exercises are included in the book. This page shows transcription exercises from one clef to another. It's almost a puzzle to resolve! |
