victors over the Orange County Beach Bashers by the score of 1 to 0.

The game's only run was scored in the top of the 6th inning. Orange County

made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs

across.

Orange County took the lead for keeps in the 7th inning plating an isolated

run on 2 hits. Orange County managed 8 in their victory.

Santiago Casilla(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 innings and

allowing no runs. Casilla got help from Rafael Soriano who was credited with

his 2nd save. The loss was charged to Roy Halladay(0-2).

Roy Oswalt delivered 8 solid innings as the Reno Silver Sox defeated the

Orange County Beach Bashers by a score of 4 to 2 at Minute Maid Field.

In the 5th inning Reno went on top for good scoring one runner. Mariano

Rivera, after tossing a perfect ninth, was credited with his 2nd save.

The win was credited to Oswalt(2-0) who went 8 innings allowing 2 runs. Brian

Bannister(1-1) took the loss. He gave up 4 runs and 7 hits in 5 and 2/3

innings.

Rafael Soriano slammed the door on Reno and second baseman Chase Utley hit one

over the fence and had 2 RBI at AT&T Park where the Orange County Beach

Bashers beat the Reno Silver Sox by the score of 8 to 6.

George Sherrill(1-0) got the win with a steady relief outing. He went 2/3 of

an inning allowing 1 hit and no walks. Sherrill got help from Soriano who

pitched a perfect ninth and was credited with his 3rd save.

Taylor Buchholz(0-1) was hit with the loss in relief. He was not very

effective, surrendering 3 runs in 2 and 2/3 innings.
