Josie was nominated for a 2001 Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her work in The Beautiful Game (other noms: Joanna Riding for Witches of Eastwick; Samantha Spiro for Merrily We Roll Along; Nicola Hughes for Fosse)
Josie Walker performed at the inauguration celebration for President George W. Bush, along with pop-star Jessica Simpson. Josie sang a slightly altered version of "If This Is What We Are Fighting For" and joined Jessica in singing the "Finale".
