| 5.4 Gyn Lashing or Figure-of-Eight Lashing � Used for lashing 3 poles together to make a tripod. � Used for making rafts. Method � Start with a clove hitch on one spar � Start with lashing near the end of the spars � Make about 8-10 turns over and under the other spars. � Tighten lashings with 3-4 frapping between each of the spars. � Finish with clove hitch on the other extreme end of spar. |
