Day out with Dad / Saturday 4/21/01
B2 Bombmer
C5 Airlifter / Wes, Tanner & Dad
Dad called and invited us to go to the Lockheed Employees Day.  This was a static display of some of the Aircraft Lockheed had produced in the past.  On these pages you will see a varietty of aircraft ranging from the work horse C130 to the Stealthy new B2 Bombmer.

The picture to the left is one Dad is vary proud of.  He has several patented hydraulic spool valves in the manifold block to his left.  These are installed in all C5 Aircraft Hydraulic Systems.  Most, if not all the Flight Control Surfaces and Loading Doors are controlled by the Hydraulic System.
The hydraulic block in the background have Dad's spool valve designes incorporated.

In the belly of the C5.  This is where the Equipment  such as Tanks, Hummer Vehicles, and Support Equipment are stored during flight.  The C5 also has room for 80 Troops on the second floor aft of the Wing.
This is another hydraulic block which incorportates Dad's Spool Valves. These are on the C5.
This is the F104...It is known as the "Rocket with wings".  It was the first Aircraft to break the speed and altitude record in a single flight.  It has flown 1,600 mph at an altitude of 103,000 Ft

This particular plane is one of only a few privately owned F104's
This shows the real size of the C5.  That's Tanner under the first engine nacelle.
Well, that's about it.  Let me know what you think.  Just trying to keep everyone informed as to what has been going on.  E-mail me and let me know what you would like to see.
