Thanks Seeker for responding to my post.
I disagree with this. One very good and trustworthy explanation is that the order of creation in Genesis is just wrong. I think the common man has not been told this, but it's simple enough to grasp once told.
The above statement is so very lofty of you...one very good and trustworthy...its simple enough to
grasp once told...
You make it sound as if its a done deal. That simple minded ones can just follow this line of thought as if to say, "just believe me". Thats not forcing on others what you believe but I do feel it is a subtle thread that should not go unchallenged.
Why cant God be given the benefit of the doubt. We have given the WTBTS free reign,
with for some their very lives. God confronted Job with questions that surely, he had insight into? We now feel, due to the advance of science and technology that we have some of those answers.
But I dont think God wanted Job to answer any of them. I think the entire dialogue is emphasizing
the sovereignty of God. Im not a great or deep thinker. Im just a child who knows no matter what Abba knows best. And nobody can best Abba in wisdom, knowledge, or insight.
Ken Hamm doesn't think the Genesis account has been altered either. This is his entire focus of life--to prove, using the account and scientific evidence that this is Gods blueprint.
Ive been reading some of my post. And I want to apologize for being so abrasive.
Thanks for your time
