Hi Rick,
First of all I noticed The Liberal Elder placed his bio in a posting of late, but it hasn't been added to your site. You had said to post bio's as a form of authentication. Is this still true? (Just wondering in case I decide to post my bio.)
I only just picked up LE's e-mail. I'm finding very little time at the moment to do more than skim the board - so apologies in advance to anyone I miss. An e-mail to H2O Biographies should be picked up within 24 hours.
And yes, you can still post bio's to H2O (in fact, it's the only way of doing it if you don't want to reveal your e-mail address). By the way, it has just occurred to me that people can send spoof e-mails with fake sender information, so I will be a little more careful about e-mail subscriptions from now on.
Also, I have a photo that I was experimenting with to see if using the "special effects" on the photo in my graphics program (such as tracing and shadows), would make it impossible to positively identify myself. This would of course create the mysterious "avatar" effect, but give viewers a vague or abstract sense of what you look like. (The effects make it look like a artistic drawing or sketch and strip away specific details enabling anyone to positively identify
the photo.) What do you think?
If it's a reasonable size (say, under 40Kb), and you're happy for me to post it, I will. I mean, no one actually thinks Mod104 really looks like that, do they!? ;D
The only thing I'd ask is that people don't use copyrighted images (obviously).
I added Shaun last night, and LE should go up some time today. Look forward to receiving yours!
Cheers,
bJ
